Building a Dream Between Snack Requests and Nap Times

I am building a business between snack requests and nap times.
And some days, that sentence alone feels heavy and beautiful at the same time.
This isn’t the kind of work that happens in quiet offices or uninterrupted hours.
It happens with a child on your lap.
With emails answered one-handed.
With ideas scribbled down in the margins of real life.
Working from home doesn’t mean I’m not working.
It means I’m working differently.
It means I am present and pulled in ten directions at once.
It means my heart is split between the future I’m building and the child who needs me right now.
It means I carry dreams in my heart while holding little hands that still reach for me constantly.
Some days I feel focused and clear.
Other days I feel tired, overwhelmed, and stretched thin.
And sometimes I feel all of it at the same time.
This season asks more of moms than people realize.
It asks us to be emotionally available and mentally sharp.
To nurture growth at home while growing something of our own.
To show up for our families while refusing to abandon ourselves.
There are moments when guilt creeps in.
When you wonder if you’re doing enough.
If you’re giving too much to one side and not enough to the other.
But here’s the truth that needs to be said out loud.
You are not distracted.
You are determined.
Determined to create stability.
Determined to model courage.
Determined to show your children what commitment looks like, even when it’s messy.
You are not failing because it feels hard.
It feels hard because it matters.
Every late night.
Every interrupted thought.
Every quiet sacrifice no one applauds.
It all counts.
You are building something real.
Not just a business, but a future shaped by intention, resilience, and love.
And if today felt exhausting instead of productive, that doesn’t erase your progress.
It proves you showed up.
For the mom whose office is home.
For the mom whose heart never clocks out.
You are doing meaningful work, even when it doesn’t look the way you imagined.
You are allowed to be tired and still be determined.
You are allowed to dream and stay present.
You are allowed to grow something for tomorrow while loving someone fully today.
